Fancy book-learnin' is over-rated!

When the high school guidance counselor advised me to learn sheet metal repair, I chose instead to stick with my plans for a sales career. That worked out great!

When my high school principal branded me a fundamental fuck up, I chose to begin a lo-fidelity life of crime, acquiring a particular set of skills. Not recommended.

And when my high school basketball coach branded us "Yahoos" for walking on the gym floor with our street shoes, he inspired me to design and sell my own t-shirts.

Taking the design in my geometry notebook to the local screen printer, he schooled me on his craft, created a color sample for me on the cheap and gave me generous terms on the print job. Getting more from this one experience than four years of their classroom lectures, I chose to set off on a path of my own.
